Today I reflected on who I am, how far I have come, and what I have achieved and I think it’s extremely important we all do the same regularly.

Gratitude helps us focus on the positive aspects of our lives, reducing negative emotions such as envy, resentment, and frustration.

It fosters a more optimistic outlook, which contributes to greater overall happiness.

When I reflect, I think, would I change things if I could? Maybe…

So recently I have been testing the new Instagram algorithm trying to find what works. After 2 weeks I reached out to them and jumped on a call with Instagram and asked them how to appease the algorithm & scale my brand📈

This is what they said to me:

Consistent Posting

• Pick how many reels a week you are most comfortable with (in your case 6-7 Reels, once a day) and try to commit to it until you feel ready to change it.

• Let’s work towards a schedule that focuses on certain days. (eg, Recommendations on Monday, Educational on Tuesday, etc.)

• Take a look at your insights and try to determine when would be the best time to post based on when your audience is online. 

Reels Best Practices

• Keep it short and moving (use transitions) – Keep it to be one format so if it is a video reels keep it all video, if it is photos keep it all photos, etc. Make sure to use all the video spaces as well, keep it long and vertical!

• Highly entertaining

• Focus on a niche of 1-2 main topics

• Content principles: fun, original, timely, approachable, participatory

• Use engaging and trending audio

• Strong hook (has a surprise or a twist)

• Relatable e.g., includes everyday humour, BTS content, face-to-camera content, etc.

• Taps into trends and cultural moments

• Inspires mimicry and participation
